The things people actually get stuck on, answered without marketing.
Both operating systems will try to block the app. Neither warning means anything is wrong with it.
Open your Applications folder, right-click Memofyd, choose Open, then Open again in the dialog. You only do this once.
Double-clicking will never get past this, however many times you try — macOS deliberately offers no “open anyway” button on a double-click.
Click More info, then Run anyway.
SmartScreen shows this for any installer it has not seen many times before. It disappears once an app has been downloaded enough or is code-signed.
A Windows code-signing certificate costs $200–400 a year and an Apple Developer account $99 a year. During early access we have not bought either. It is a cost decision, not a corner cut on the software.
Apple menu → About This Mac. If the chip says Apple M1/M2/M3/M4, take the Apple Silicon build. If it says Intel, take the Intel one.
The download page highlights the right one automatically, though it can guess wrong under Rosetta — the labels are always correct.
No. Meeting capture records your computer's own audio and the meeting window locally. No extra participant appears, and nobody has to admit anything.
The recording engine ships only for Apple Silicon Macs and 64-bit Windows. On an Intel Mac it cannot run at all.
Everything else works there: microphone recording, transcription, summaries, action items, search, Ask and every export.
Put the call on speaker and record with the microphone. Both sides come through acoustically. There is no way to tap call audio directly on a modern phone — neither iOS nor Android permits it.
The first recording is closed, saved and summarised, and a new one starts immediately. Nothing is discarded and nothing runs in the background unnoticed.
Usually yes, and in many places it is legally required — including for phone calls in India. Please tell them. That responsibility is yours, and it is set out in the Terms.
English, Hindi, Hinglish, Punjabi and Urdu.
Summaries, action items and drafted emails always come back in English, whichever went in. Urdu speech is translated.
That is the normal case, not an edge case. Choose Hinglish, or leave it on auto-detect and speak how you speak.

No. Transcription and analysis run through OpenAI's API, which is not used for training, and we do not train anything of our own on your recordings.
Its transcript, summary, notes, clips and the audio and video files are removed immediately, and it disappears from search. This cannot be undone.
The record of how many minutes it used is kept, so that deleting history is not a way to reset a plan allowance.
No. Everything works with an email sign-in. Connecting Google adds calendar meetings, recap emails and contact lookup, and can be disconnected at any time.
60 minutes of recording, once, with every feature unlocked. Not per month — one hour for the life of the account, so you can judge it on a real meeting.
Recording stops. Everything captured up to that moment is saved, transcribed and summarised as normal — nothing is lost — and you keep full access to it.
Not yet. Payments are being set up, so plans currently show as coming soon. If you have run out and want to keep testing, get in touch and we will extend it.
