Memofyd records conversations, which is about as sensitive as software gets. This page says plainly what is collected, where it goes, who else sees it, and how to get rid of it. It is written to be read rather than to be defensible.
Memofyd is operated by Harshit Kumar. Contact: harshitk55@gmail.com.
Your email address, and the name, phone number, date of birth and location you supply at signup. Your email is used to send sign-in codes and, if you enable them, notifications.
Audio you record, and for captured meetings the video of the meeting window. From these we generate transcripts, summaries, action items, notes and insights. All of it is stored against your account.
The number of seconds recorded, so plan limits can be enforced and billed. This is kept even if you delete the conversation it came from — the minutes were used, and deleting history is not a way to reset a bill.
Connecting a Google account is optional and everything else works without it. If you do connect one, Memofyd requests access only to what a specific feature needs:
Google user data is used solely to provide these features to you. It is never sold, never used for advertising, never used to train any model, and never transferred to anyone else except as required to run the feature you asked for. Memofyd's use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
You can disconnect Google at any time from Settings inside the app, or revoke access at myaccount.google.com/permissions. Disconnecting deletes the stored access and refresh tokens immediately.
Running the product requires sending recordings to a small number of services. Each one gets only what its job requires.
On a server in Mumbai, India, with encrypted connections. Recordings and transcripts are kept until you delete them or close your account. There is no automatic expiry — the point of the product is that old conversations stay searchable.
Backups of the database are taken nightly and kept for fourteen days.
Deleting a conversation in the app removes its transcript, summary, notes, clips and the audio and video files themselves, and removes it from search. This is immediate and cannot be undone. The record of how many minutes it used is kept, as described above.
To delete your entire account and everything in it, email harshitk55@gmail.com and it will be done within 30 days. You can also request a copy of your data in the same way.
This is your responsibility, not ours, and it is a real one. Laws differ: many places require every participant to consent before a conversation is recorded, and India's rules on recording calls are stricter than most people assume. Memofyd gives you the tool; you are the one who must tell the people in the room. Please do.
Memofyd is not intended for anyone under 16 and accounts are not knowingly created for them.
Traffic is encrypted in transit. Sign-in uses a one-time code by email rather than a stored password. Access tokens are held server-side and never exposed to the interface. This is an early-access product built by one person — it has not been independently audited, and it would be wrong to imply otherwise.
If this policy changes in a way that affects how your data is used, the date at the top changes and you will be told by email before it takes effect.
